Instructions to set up the ODK Mobile Application

The ODK App is only for Android users. iPhone users please refer to the ENKETO web form. If you encounter any issue setting up the ODK App, please check the FAQ section or get in touch with us via your local coordinator or by writing an email to info@mygardenoftrees.eu.

Remember: To be able to use ODK collect, you need a Gmail account. Please send us your Gmail address! You will then receive an email that info@mygardenoftrees has shared the folder MyGardenOfTrees with you. You don’t need to open it.

STEP 1

Install ODK Collect from the Google Play Store of your Android Phone. The first time, open ODK Collect when you have a stable internet connection.

STEP 2

Choose Manually enter project details

Choose Configure using Google Drive

STEP 4

In the main menu, choose Get Blank Form

STEP 5

You will see the content of your own Google Drive. Click Shared with Me.

STEP 6

Look for the folder named MyGardenOfTrees. Open it.

STEP 7

Find the form you need. If you just joined, click on SetUpMyGarden.

STEP 8

Tick the box on the right of the SetUpMyGarden.xml form and click on Download Selected. The blank form will be downloaded to your ODK Collect.

STEP 9

Return to the main menu and click on Fill Blank Form. Here you will find the form SetUpMyGarden! To proceed from here, dowload the appropriate protocol in this page.

STEP 10

The default language of the form is English. You can change it by clicking on the three dots in the top-right corner and then on Change Language.

LAST STEP!

Once you have completed the form, don't forget to send it to us by clicking on Send Finalized Form.
